Ramble number 1 (began counting now)
Sun, Apr. 29th, 2012 05:59 pmHey there! I've been wondering for awhile if I should start each of my entries with the 'Dear Diary' expression. xP That would be awesome! But I won't do it.
As I said before, somewhere around the last year (...), my mood depends on the music I am currently listening to. At first, I thought it was just coincidence but I noticed that when I'm down and I listen to a cheerful song, I always seem to have a smile on my face. On the other hand, if I'm happy and I listen to a sad song, I am always frowning. *Weirdo here~*
This last week nothing much happened except... *sigh* I got an evaluation and I had an awful grade. What bothered me the most was that I though for sure I was going to have a good grade and then, from almost everything I got wrong, I still think that the right answers don't make sense! But this test was made by our government and it was a national one so my teacher had no fault with that. I don't blame her though. She is a nice teacher. She even tried to cheer me up after I got my test. She also said she would do what she could so this test wouldn't lower my final grade that much. In any case, I want to fucking kill my country's government.
And... I feel the need to write this... the new OVA of Ai no Kusabi is OUT!!! *fangirl squeak* I love that series so much it's almost criminal! I remember the first time i saw it (the old one) I skipped almost everything because I didn't like the plot, or the idea of a seme with long hair or a manly uke, and I absolutely hated it. But, sometime later, when my mind actually got grew up, I went back to watch everything and... sweet mother of God! That series has everything really. The only problem is the fact that you need to have an older mind to actually appreciate such masterpiece. It might be the best Yaoi series I have ever seen. Of course, really close to that spot is Maiden Rose (another yaoi series). That one though I prefer the manga. I just wish they continued it. *snif snif* What is it with me and tragic love?!
Now, I should probably go and start study because I have an exam tomorrow. Physics. I love Physics, much better than Chemistry. And the funny thing about that is that everyone seems to think that Chemistry is much better than Physics.
Also (geez, I can't seem to stop rambling when I start...) I decided to do a 100 prompt. challenge. Blame
zaifie . She is the one doing them and I am in an urgent need of writing. I decided to use the characters from the original novel I am writing, which I shall post sometime soon enough. I will post the table in my next post.
Okay, last thing: why do people who write automatically consider themselves writers and the best that there is? I mean, come on, I write and I am a writer? I am automatically better than everyone else? NO! Why don't people see that? Also, why do people write 'I am a published author' in hopes of being seen as better than others? Who cares if they are published or something? I bet I never seen one single piece of their story in my whole life. And, what makes them think that if they are published, they are automatically better? They are not. I've seen people who write but don't consider themselves writers nor they have any of their works published that have better stories than most stuff I find published. Being published doesn't mean being the best. It only serves to work up their ego (to some people, of course).
Okay, the end, finished, fim, etc. Should probably go study right now... *too lazy*

Date: Mon, Apr. 30th, 2012 10:06 am (UTC).. Maiden Rose was a yaoi series? o_o I should really watch that series in full. Never heard of Ai No Kusabi before though.
You're taking Physics already? Woah. I like Chemistry more, mostly because my Physics teacher couldn't teach to save his life. But I liked learning about optics.
Yaaay!! You're doing the 100-prompt challenge too. I'm excited to read your works!
Being a published author just means that they get paid to write, in my opinion. It's admirable, and certainly an achievement but you're right that it's not something they should be arrogant about. I've read a lot of unpublished stories online that were good enough to make me cry, and I've only less than a handful of books that elicited the same reaction. But people are human, and humanity is often less sophisticated than it thinks itself to be. Whenever I meet someone with a very unappealing side to them, I just write it off as their 'inner-jerk' -- something that I believe exists, even the slightest bit, in every person... Okay I'll just stop here, I got way too philosophical XD

Date: Mon, Apr. 30th, 2012 06:46 pm (UTC)Lol. Yea, it was. (in a way) They have two OVAs but it's Maiden Rose, not Rozen Maiden. The names are really lookalikes but the series are completely different.
As for Ai no Kusabi, it portrays a society where the ranks are decided according to the hair color. Per example, Rikki (the main character, uke) is Mongrel, the lowest of the lows in their society. They live in the Slums and everyone is disgusted by them because they think that once you reach that level, there is no going further down. Meanwhile, the society's leaders are called Blondies (lol, guess their hair color? xP) They aren't exactly human though. Iason (the main character, seme) just so happens to be a Blondie and the leader of all the Blondies.
Well, this was taken from Wiki:
"This futuristic tale is set in a world where the Elites are assigned various social classes based on their hair color in the city of Tanagura. Iason Mink, a high-class "Blondie", runs into Riki, a black-haired "Mongrel", and makes him his "Pet" which Riki resents being. As Riki learns of the dangers Iason faces by keeping him, he finds himself developing feelings for his master. Focusing on the relationship between Iason and Riki, Ai no Kusabi also explores issues of caste systems and social exclusion."
I like it because not only they are both male 8and you can actually see that, especially Rikki and he is the uke, it also portrays some subjects from our society (though it'0s more past or possible future).
Yeah. I'm taking Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, English, Portuguese, Physical Education, Philosophy and Math A. Though Physics and Chemistry are together, like Biology and Geology. In the 12th grade, they are separated according to what you want to follow later. What about you? What did you take when you were in high school (preferably 12th grade :D ). By the way, what are you taking in College? I'm really curious!
haha~ Yeah, guess who got me into this? *grin* I tried to do one but, for some reason, I end up having others ideas and then I save them as extras and start a new one!!! At this rate, I won't even finish one!
Yeah, I know what you mean. haha~ I don't mind. I love chatting with you! It's so much fun I can't barely take it! And it actually feels good to talk to someone about your problems (and get advise). : )

Date: Fri, May. 4th, 2012 06:57 pm (UTC)Ooh, I'm still in my last year of high school XD Um, I guess that'd be your equivalent of 12th grade, yes? The science subject for our last year is, well, I'm not sure what it's called but it's basically environmental science. How Chemistry and Biology can be applied or be found in our environment. Then Pre-calculus, Economics, Physical Education, Christian Living, English (Mythology), Music... Um, Japanese as an elective. Then Creative Writing and Painting-- although technically they're my 'clubs' but it's a requirement and all of our work is graded so I still think they're subjects too. I think I might have Computer or Home Economics, but I'm not sure. OTL I'm still undecided about my college course, but I'm going to have to fill out application forms soon so I'm really nervous.
Hm, yeah, I wonder who? *smirk* Aah, I had that same problem too! But that's good, really. It'll get you a lot of practice, and you'll learn to scrap ideas for better ones. The funnest part of the challenge I think is how you can take the chance to try out different writing styles and find out what suits you, or what suits your story.
It does! Our chats are a great help in preventing potential breakdowns. :)

Date: Fri, May. 4th, 2012 09:20 pm (UTC)Yeah, it is. The school grades are a bit different because we have 1º Ciclo (1st cycle (the translation gets a little weird...)) from 1st to 4th, 2º Ciclo (2nd Cycle) 5th and 6th, 3º Ciclo (3rd Cycle) 7th to 9th and Secundária (Secundary (again, weird translation) that is 10th to 12th. Then there's college. Right now, we only have to have until the 9th grade. From then onward you can try to get a job, enroll special courses or continue with your studies (10th-12th). Usually those last ones are the ones who want to go to college. Well, it's pretty hard to explain so sorry about that ramble. : ) I wish I could take Japanese or had those clubs in my school. *sigh*
haha~ Well, I'm trying to finish one, just one but... I'm having a trouble to concentrate. xP
Yeah, I know what you mean! : ) I automatically feel better while I'm reading and answering the posts/messages. : ) It's a great way to get instant happiness (xP).
Btw, I'm guessing your native tongue is English, right? I don't remember asking. Also, do you mind telling me where you live? The country's fine. I'm just curious but if you don't want to answer, I understand. : )

Date: Sat, May. 5th, 2012 05:26 pm (UTC)That... is really confusing. I'm probably just rephrasing what you said, but I think I'm starting to get it. A bit. So the first four grades are called 1º Ciclo, the next two grades are 2º Ciclo, then so on and so forth? Secundaria is your equivalent of high school? Ooh, because high school is also known as secondary-level education. Right, that makes sense. Hehe, excuse my slowness.
You can do it! Want to try what I do? Try thinking of only one prompt, like the word itself, then form an image in your mind. If your mind starts wandering off, go back to your original image and isolate it from your other thoughts. From there, just let the words flow~
Or, if you're feeling quite emotional and want to ramble, you could try writing a scene instead. If it's something you want to get out of your system, you could write what happened, but in second or third person point of view so that you can... sort of detach or calm yourself. It works for me, sometimes. Hope it helps you :D

Date: Sat, May. 5th, 2012 10:45 pm (UTC)Lol. It's kind of hard but I guess my Elementary School is 1º Ciclo and 2º Ciclo, my Middle School is 3ºCiclo and High School is Secundária. Though the grades aren't exactly the same. : ) I've been in Secundária for less than a year but I supposed I've been in High School for almost two years now. Weird educational stuff here, just ignore it. xP You're not slow at all. It's just my culture is hard to get. I myself get pretty confused sometimes... God, I feel stupid now...
Hmmm... My problem is that, when I get an idea, I immediately want to write it so I won't forget. xP I need to train this stuff first. : )
Like what you write with your prompts? It could be a good idea. Like, mae myself the character and write it in third person (I'm not really comfortable writing in 1st or 2nd person). I'll try it next time. : )

Date: Sun, May. 6th, 2012 04:19 pm (UTC)Well, if I actually manage to finish it and post it. xP I had a better idea for my original one so I'm re-writing the story again (I probably shouldn't do that or I'll never be finished though). And I'll be waiting for something from you. : )
